My sensitive and profoundly appreciative thanks to you all for making me so welcome and immediately part of your Osteopathic healthcare.
My promise is to provide continuity of care which honours the quality and warmth of compassionate Osteopathic care you have received from Nina.
I have a profound love and respect for Osteopathy and for the inherent wisdom which guides the health and principles of healing within all our patients.
With gentle and compassionate hands as described by Dr William Garner Sutherland, the founder of Cranial Osteopathy and a close student of Dr Andrew Taylor Still: “the wise, thinking, feeling, knowing fingers of the Osteopath" is a poetic and descriptive expression often used in the field of Osteopathy to emphasise the highly developed palpatory skills of practitioners.
This concept is rooted in the philosophy of Osteopathy's founder, Dr Andrew Taylor Still, and other key figures like William G. Sutherland, who stressed the importance of using intelligent, hand-guided approaches rather than blindly "tinkering". The rigorous training of an Osteopath focuses on cultivating this acute sense of touch to effectively interact with the body's inherent wisdom and self-healing mechanisms.Perceptual understanding belongs naturally to the entirety of a person, not just the hands.
Through insight and wisdom, for the care of the whole person, I work with the health of each person to achieve the highest expression of health, enabling ‘The healing of the whole person in spirit and by touch’ - which is my practice motto.
I work in close conjunction with other healthcare practitioners and where appropriate can liase with you and your GP and midwife, consultant and surgeon to achieve the best clinical outcomes for your care.
During my Osteopathic training I worked as a nurse for six and a half years at the NHS teaching hospitals of St Bartholomew's; Charing Cross and Chelsea and Westminster hospitals. This provided a rich and valuable seam of advanced clinical training across varied specialities from general surgery and orthopaedics, to neurological and neuro-surgical nursing including head, neck and spinal post surgical care and endocrinology.
I have the joyful acknowledgement of being trained to the highest standards since graduation from The British School of Osteopathy, London in 1993; and have spent thirty three years in full time Osteopathic and Homeopathic clinical practice and being closely mentored by some of the wisest Osteopathic teachers in the UK, Europe and USA.
I have a profound love of Osteopathy expressed in wisely guided treatment planning, and supported by nutrition, movement and stillness.

I love spending time in nature and at my home by the sea, I hear the call of oyster catchers and curlew and with my practice at Petersfield Osteopathy, nestled in the heart of the South Downs national park at Petersfield, Hampshire I return into my ‘London life’ with joyful appreciation for the wonderful people I am so happy to meet and whose health I hope the wisely and gently honour and support.
It is my very great pleasure to have this unique opportunity to work closely with Nina.
